About Clifton Leung Design Workshop
To Clifton, interior design is about creativity and enthusiasm. Practicing a primitive philosophy of “Minimalism to Maximization”, Clifton believes space is limited but design is infinite. With great passion for design and lifestyle, Clifton creates unique designs with personalization as the key to every design, tailoring specific needs of end-users. Since Clifton founded Clifton Leung Design Workshop in 1997, he has been dedicating his efforts in creating timeless design which features aesthetics quality, functional effectiveness and environmental friendliness. Clifton works on a wide spectrum of design projects. Hospitality projects include Madera Hollywood. Food and beverage projects include Hong Kong Jockey Club Restaurant - JUMP, spaghetti 360 ° under the Cafe de Coral Group and Michelin one star restaurant – Mist ramen. Telecom store designs include 1O1O, one2free, PCCW-HKT and CTM Macau. Fashion store designs include LeSportsac, Converse, Ralph Lauren, D&G, Just Cavalli, Calvin Klein. Headquarter designs include the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association headquarters and Goelia headquarters. Healthcare centre designs include Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital Healthcare Centre and Q9 Orthopaedic and Spine Centre operated by the Town Health International Medical Group Limited. Beauty and product store projects include Marie France, Siemens and Bosch under the BSH Group. Public space design projects include Hong Kong Jockey Club Tourist Zone and Hong Kong Jockey Club Life Journey Centre. Charity projects include the Café at the Sir Horace Kadoorie Youth Development. In addition to the rich retail portfolio, Clifton has created over 200 prestigious home interiors in Hong Kong. Honored at prestigious international awards, Clifton’s designs have been recognized multiple times at the Asia Pacific Property Awards* (UK), Successful Design Award (China) and HKDA Global Design Awards. Among which, the one2free flagship store was awarded the World’s Best Retail Interior (2013-2014), the CTM Flagship store was awarded the Five Stars Award of Best Retail Interior (2015-2016), the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association headquarters was awarded the Best Office Interior Hong Kong (2014-2015), which was also awarded the Japan Good Design Award in 2018; PCCW-HKT flagship stores was awarded the Highly Commended Retail Interior Hong Kong (2014-2015) and Successful Design Award 2015. Clifton is the author of three books, including Interior Design Lifestyle - from minimalism to maximization, Inside Out - Celebrating 15 years of Retail Design by Clifton Leung and iMAXI 2 - Interior Design Lifestyle by Clifton Leung, in which he shares his inspiration, insight and passion in his designs. Started in CCC Tam Lee Lai Fun Memorial Secondary School, Clifton launches The Project Dream program in 2012, which subsidizes students in realizing their dreams. Since then, it has supported the realization and continuation of 63 teenagers’ dreams. Dreams realized include the triathlon training program in Kenting, Taiwan, the invention of self-sterilizing handle and the participation of international VEX Robotics Competition in the US. Born in Hong Kong and raised in Canada, Clifton has an interior design degree from Toronto’s renowned Ryerson University. Clifton realized his dream in setting up his own business, establishing Clifton Leung Design Workshop, in the 90s. Early in 2004, he has been selected by the HK Magazine as one of the five local lifestyle gurus. *The Asia Pacific Property Awards is part of the long-established International Property Awards which were founded 19 years ago and its winners’ logo is recognized as a symbol of excellence throughout the global industry.
