BaseHall is a dynamic, digital-centric culinary destination designed to be the ultimate hangout with its diverse gourmet offerings, unparalleled energy and urban style
Hongkong Land today celebrated the official opening of BaseHall, a first-of-its-kind food hall concept on the basement level of Jardine House. This latest development underscores Hongkong Land’s continuous commitment to enhance the value of its portfolio, and also champions the LANDMARK EATO ethos – the contemporary culinary concept bringing together the best of Hong Kong’s vibrant, world-class F&B scene, all at LANDMARK.
“As the leading landlord in Hong Kong’s Central District, we constantly seek the next opportunity to elevate the Central community experience and ensure it continues to thrive as Asia’s most prestigious and dynamic city centre,” said Mr Robert Wong, Chief Executive of Hongkong Land. “The launch of BaseHall, together with CENTRICITY and BESPOKE salon, our tailor-made offerings for both corporate tenants and retail shoppers, is the latest example of Hongkong Land reinvesting into its portfolio to create innovative offerings crafted to meet the needs of today’s tenants and customers. These initiatives will strengthen the attractiveness of our high-quality office and retail space, and ensure Central continues to flourish as a vibrant community that our tenants and customers aspire to be part of.”
Mr Raymond Chow, Executive Director of Hongkong Land, added: “BaseHall is core to
our strategy for attracting younger customers while still catering to our existing loyal
customer base. BaseHall is breaking new ground in the F&B landscape which creates
huge potential growth opportunities, both in terms of the vendor line-up, and the
meticulously designed space that allows for multi-purpose use. This will no doubt be
the new hotspot for the Central office population and the wider Hong Kong community
to socialise and enjoy great food.”
BaseHall is an elevated food hall experience that aims to champion Hong Kong’s exceptional food culture, incubate homegrown talent and provide its patrons with the best of the city’s buzzing culinary scene - under one roof, from lunch through to dinner and beyond. Housing eight food outlets and two bars, all celebrated names in Hong Kong’s culinary landscape chosen for their creative concepts, innovative approaches and outstanding offerings, vendors will rotate on a regular basis. To accommodate the demand for the finest flavours alongside the ultimate in convenience and comfort for Central’s working community and shoppers, BaseHall is thoughtfully designed and injected with entertainment to create a uniquely fun and dynamic atmosphere for visitors to unwind, recharge and mingle. It also promises swift and seamless dine-in and pick-up experiences through its cashless Point of Sales system and the CENTRICITY App exclusive to Hongkong Land’s tenants.
The abundant array of offerings includes Roti Tori’s Japanese-inspired rotisserie chicken, hearty plant-based offerings by Treehouse, contemporary nasi lemak at Return of Lemak and decadent treats brought by Cookie Dpt. Pub 1842 from Young Master and BaseHall Bar also serve up local craft beer, worldly wines and Asian-inspired cocktails. Hongkong Land continues its firm commitment to sustainability at BaseHall, exemplified through the use of compostable food packaging and cutlery and the placement of water fountains and waste decomposers, as well as the addition of upcycled design elements throughout. BaseHall is also partnering with a food assistance programme to distribute leftover food to worthwhile causes across the city.
In addition to BaseHall, the Group successfully launched CENTRICITY, a suite of market
leading digital and physical services exclusively available to the Group’s tenants in Hong
Kong in October 2019. Core elements include a mobile app which provides tenants with
access to promotions, events and concierge services, a flexible event space and a
restaurant providing both on-the-go meals and a formal dining service. The Group also
launched a new 5,000 sq. ft salon which provides its BESPOKE loyalty programme
members with personalised experiences and services.
