Hosted by RIBA China Chapter, RIBA China Chapter, and co-hosted by Meta Media and ZiWU, the 2022 annual exhibition "She is an Architect" of the Women's Digital Network Program in the Construction Industry is scheduled to take place on July 7. From August 9th to August 21st, it was exhibited at the Modern Studio of ZiWU, Shanghai.
RIBA Business Information Consulting (Shanghai) Company Limited RIBA China Chapter hosts Women in Architecture Digital Nexus Program 2022 Exhibition 'She is an Architect' (co-hosted by Meta Media and ZiWu). The exhibition is scheduled to open from 9th July to 21st August at ZiWU Modern Studio in Shanghai.
This exhibition is funded by the RIBA Local Initiative Fund. After a two-month global call for works, we have received more than 100 outstanding works from female architects, scholars and students from all over the world. Exhibitors are mainly from China and the UK, as well as Europe, the Gulf region and Southeast Asia. Works include professional design projects, academic research, and student design projects. The works cover a wide range of fields such as urban planning, TOD design, urban complexes, cultural buildings, educational buildings, community building, urban renewal, historical building protection and renovation, digital construction and parametric design, network science and urban design, etc. A wonderful exploration of cross-border design. It also collects voices from industry-leading companies and outstanding architects on issues of diversity and equality in the construction industry.
The exhibition is funded by the RIBA Local Initiative Fund.Through two months of global call for entry process, we have received more than a hundred high quality work from women architects, academics, and students across the world. The entrants are mainly from China and the UK as well as countries in Europe, Gulf and Southeast Asia regions. The works collected include professional design projects, academic research, and student design projects, covering a wide range of sectors such as urban planning, TOD design, urban mixed-use, culture, education, community building, urban regeneration, conservation and renovation, digital fabrication, parametric design and network science in urban design. There are also exciting explorations on cross-disciplinary design. Meanwhile, we have collected voices from leading architectural practices and architects on diversity and equality in the industry.
This exhibition is strongly supported by the UK Department for International Trade and the British Council to jointly help showcase the design power of women in architecture and enhance their voices.
