In Search of a Reliable Wood Plastic Composite (WPC)

It has always been a puzzle when designers are looking for a reliable WPC manufacturer as there are literally hundreds of suppliers worldwide with different price levels and performance.

As a supplier, we admit that we have tried a number of brands in the market with varying price and degree of performance. After a few years most products will either discolor or fail structurally in varying degrees. Given the high cost of local labor it would only be prudent to find a sustainable product.

To this end we are pleased to advise that our company will be starting to work with Fiberon, a reputable manufacturer from the US.

Fiberon has supplied a number of projects in Hong Kong with good success. For residential use, depending on the model, the company offers a 25 year to 50 year warranty. There is a standard 10 year warranty for commercial applications. All products are manufactured in the United States and for quick shipment there are stocks in China for some popular models.

 The product is environmentally friendly as over 90% of components are from recycled material which is handled and treated in Fiberon’s own warehouse for quality control. No adhesive is used and the products are VOC free.

Components:

What sets the products apart is the components. The core material is approximately 50% PE (polyethylene) and 50% wood fiber making it strong and sturdy. The cap or cover material is made of a specialized PVC offering fade, scratch and skid resistance. It also offers different textures and colors and low maintenance properties.

To suit different budgets and requirements, 2 types of PVC decking and 4 types of WPC decking are available.
