Since our last newsletter our New Zealand manufacturer ABODO has added many features to their product Vulcan thermal wood.
To refresh, ’Thermal Treatment’ is a Chemical-free heat and steam process that ‘cooks’ the wood. The process removes the organic compounds from the wood cell so it will not absorb water, expand or contract, making it dimensionally stable, insect and decay resistant.
As there is no use of chemicals the product is extremely environmentally friendly. All ABODO timber is harvested from FSC certified plantations, a sustainable source of radiata pine.
To match design parameters, the following features are available for Vulcan products.
We are pleased to advise that we have recently completed locally a substantial project with Vulcan with extremely satisfactory results.
