Sika Hongkong Awarded CIC Green Product Certifications

Sika HK has successfully obtained the CIC Green Product Certifications for three products recognizing our contribution to the promotion of environmental protection and sustainability.

Certified Green Products

⭐Tile Adhesive – Ronabond® Super Tile Adhesive-SP (The highest Platinum recognition)

⭐Waterproofing Mortar – SikaTop®-107 Seal HK (The highest Platinum recognition)

⭐Floor Coating – Sikafloor®-2640 (Rating : Gold)

Certification Background

The Construction Industry Council (CIC) and the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) are authoritative organizations leading the construction and green building industries in Hong Kong.

They have developed a comprehensive evaluation scheme to assess the environmental impact of the building materials by grading their environmental performance in five ratings: Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Green.

Incentive Policy

To motivate the industry to adopt more green construction materials, several incentive schemes are made available. Projects that use certified green products can be qualified and earn credits in the following schemes:

1) BEAM Plus V2.0 

2) Green Item Subsidy (GIS) of Urban Renewal Authority
