To create a balmy and delightful ambience, the kitchen wall opposite the dining room was torn down and replaced with a sliding glass door and a half-waist kitchen island. This allows sunlight to penetrate the space softly and enhances the connection between the two zones.
A lattice window wall has been installed along the upper part of the study wall facing the sitting and dining rooms, which makes the whole living area look larger than it really is. Similar to the sliding glass door in the kitchen, this lattice window wall also helps strengthen the interaction between the homeowners even when they are not staying at the same room. Sometimes a wall can imperceptibly keep people apart but interaction is the key to put hearts together.
Colour, materials and lighting are the little details that make the difference.
