'The Art of Sketching, Architecture Narratives' RIBA Hong Kong Chapter Exhibition - 22 December 2024 to 25 January 2025 DX Design Hub, Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong
The RIBA Hong Kong Chapter is organising a major Hand Sketch Exhibition and Student Competition to coincide with a visit to Hong Kong from the RIBA Drawings Collection Curators.
Architectural design has been transformed significantly with the recent advancement of digital tools. However, as architects and designers, we continue to conceptualize and formulate our thoughts through simple drawings. Hand sketching has remained as an essential tool and medium in this process.
Supported by the Hong Kong Design Centre, the exhibition will be one of its kind in the region, showcasing rare and exciting hand sketches from over 30 notable architecture practices and individual architects, and a selection of student sketches from major universities in Hong Kong.
The exhibition will illustrate the diversity of thoughts, styles and creativity at different stages of the design, and to serve as inspirations to our current and future generations of architects and designers. Works from established, emerging practices and individuals will be exhibited side-by-side. The exhibition will be an exciting and engaging forum to celebrate another successful year of design excellence in the region.'
