Vipp Design Talk - Sustainable Space
Jakarta, 22 September 2023 - MOIEHAUS introduced design enthusiasts to the minimalist and functional aesthetics of Vipp, a brand with Danish roots. The design talk, titled "Sustainable Space", was held on the 56th floor of Regent Residences Jakarta, where the modern urban ambiance set a perfect backdrop for the introduction of Vipp's design philosophy.
Vipp, a brand known for its minimalist design approach, showcased its commitment to creating durable and functional products. Morten Wolden, the CEO of Vipp, and Philip Nørgaard, Contract Sales Manager, shared stories about the brand’s journey and its sustainable projects.
Adding to the local relevance was Santi Alaysius from Domisilium Studio, who has been pivotal in setting up Vipp's area at MOIEHAUS. She shared her thoughts on the design approach and the sustainable ideas for the interior project, offering a glimpse into the careful thought process behind creating a space that's both aesthetic and eco-friendly.
The event saw a light creative touch when Hadistian Emir presented his painted artwork titled "Visual Journey" on Vipp's iconic bin. It was a gesture that highlighted how functionality and art could coexist in even the most everyday items.
The discourse extended into the culinary realm with Chef Fernando Sindu sharing insights on kitchen design and functionality from a chef's perspective. His segment was complemented by a selection of canapés, allowing the guests to indulge in a casual tasting session.
MOIEHAUS' initiative in bringing Vipp to Jakarta’s design community was not just about introducing a brand. It was a gentle nudge towards engaging discussions on sustainable design, which is slowly but surely gaining traction in urban living spaces. The event left a subtle but significant impression, opening avenues for more meaningful discussions on design, sustainability, and the elegant interplay between the two in the years to come.
