Career Development & Awards S.K returned to Hong Kong in 1996 and established CHK Design Institute to promote his ideology of “Architerior”-minimalist aesthetics. The firm has completed over 200 diverse projects since established. Many of them have received wide acclaim and have been recognized with numerous awards, including the APIDA and Perspective Awards. In his early career, focus has been dedicated exclusively on designing and managing hospitality projects, particularly for complex acute environments in the food & beverage industry. His award winning projects include COVA at Pacific Place and Wood Café. In recent years, he is engaged in over 30 high class cuisine outlets across Hong Kong, PRC and Europe. His work in architecture, office design and residential projects also got tremendous recognition from the industry. Striving for Professional Excellence S.K is also well versed in the retail operation guidelines, safety requirements, visual merchandise and the functional programming needs of each area or procedure. He regularly observes the design trend and daily operations of the retail and hospitality industries to better understand how design can enrich brand equity, foster hospitality and increase operation efficiency. S.K’s design projects were published in the book “My design trail”in 2010. It summarizes most of his work since he graduated from AA with an objective to share his visions on architecture and interior design.
