Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Australia

Architects who have registered in QLD, NSW, VIC, WA, TAS and SA and A+ members of the Australian Institute of Architects are required to complete annual Continuing Professional Development points to ensure they remain up to date with industry specific information.

Architects who are required to complete CPD must accrue 20 CPD points per year, with 1 point awarded per hour of learning activity. At least 10 of those points need to be Formal CPD ? an activity that has defined learning objectives and a formal assessment between presenter and participant. Archify Education provides architects and design professionals with a variety of free presentations that have been created to meet industry standards for Formal CPD.

Informal CPD does not require an assessment, and can be self-directed. This can include study on Archify Education and attending Archify Architectural Product Presentations.

The CPD year ends on 31st March for Queensland and Tasmania, and the 30th of June in Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia and South Australia.
