About KKNG Architect
KKNG Architect was professionally incepted by Keat Ng with the board as a practice in late 2001, initially a temporary platform to address random experimental thoughts while consulting for a string of established offices working on houses, apartments, schools, resorts + cafes. In the winter of 2009, after completing a contractual stint managing the detail design development stage for the QNL based in Shenzhen + Rotterdam, he returned to Kuala Lumpur to operate this office full-time. In 2011, Keat Ng was inducted into Malaysia's 30under40 Emerging Young Architects. KKNG has since exhibited at the 2012 Venice Biennale (curated by David Chipperfield) & subsequently selected for the 2014 Venice Biennale (curated by Rem Koolhaas). Recently, he was listed as a Finalist in the Architecture Asia Awards for Emerging Asian Architects 2016. Keat Ng used to visit as an external critic to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia + was a mentor for a program in University Malaya. Occasionally, he visits other design schools in Kuala Lumpur. KKNG undertakes architectural design works as their forte but also immerses in a variety of design endeavors which includes furniture, graphics, moods, landscape + interiors to ensure follow-through. KKNG acknowledges the impermanent environment which revolves dynamically + the ever fickle unrelenting society. This office only undertakes an appointment in which the client clearly demonstrates an insistence to propel design as the utmost priority in a project.
