Bathocyroe lamp series in Lighting design exhibition

Just Light collection is a group of lighting designs, which put together concepts selected in the competition organized by DuPont™ Corian® and Krause Innowacje w Budownictwie.

Distinguished designers presented a variety of approaches to their works like a play with light and shadow. Some inspirations were taken from the nature – referring to its opulence, or less abstractly, associated with the creatures living in the depths of the oceans. Some wanted to show minimalism and others to create a unique collection of four lamps with a usage of prosaic form of the sheet of paper.

One of the winners in the competition are Michal Bartnicki for Bathocyroe project.The Bathocyroe lamp series has been inspired by the magical underwater sea world. In its shape the collection visibly resembles the majestic deep-sea jellyfish. Corian was used to create a soft shape and wavy form while using gently diffused lights to give a sense of moving water. Its unique character, and play with light and shadow gives the interior a unique feel. It is intended for both commercial and private interiors.
