Golden Square Primary School is the merger of two schools currently separated by Calder Highway in Victoria. Based on the metaphor of the tree house, the design offers flexible teaching and learning environments with strong indoor-outdoor connections, a variety of outdoor dispersal spaces, opportunities for facilities that could provide greater community links, safe zoning of school building and sporting areas and footprints that would lend themselves towards sustainable building outcomes.
