Sepiring Nusantara is a restaurant located in Cibinong, Bogor which is included in Sundanese area. So for the main concept of its shape, we took the Sundanese traditional house form and deformed it become a more modern form. the main deformation is in the angle of its roof, we make it steeper at the backside because we want to open it to maximize natural wind circulation inside but protect it from heavy rain and also sunshine.
For the zoning area, we make a distinction of its roof angle as a separation between kitchen and dining area. for its dining area we also make a separation zoning between cashier and dining area using a different floor materials and floor levels. We’re using a batik motive for floor materials to take a customer inside our dining area.
We locate a kitchen area at the front to buffer a traffic rush from the main road and also we can create larger garden area at the backside, so it could enable the owner to make an extension in the future with more ease.
