About Studio Kota

Studio Kota is a design and research based architecture studio based in Jakarta. The word “Kota” comes from Indonesian word means City. We like architecture that has a contribution to city at different scale, program and typology; architecture that contributes to the liveability of the city. Our interest is in architecture that is specific to the context, free from stylistic approach and predetermined aesthetic. We are dealing with highly dynamic future. So we can’t settle on just being a problem solver for current problems but aim to focus on exploring future possibilities.
