A Beautiful Harmony of the Past and Future

OFT was invited by HKIDA to Nansha to immerse ourselves in the rich Lingnan culture (嶺南文化). During our visit, we explored significant sites such as 南越王墓, 陳家祠, and 永興坊, before enjoying a restful stay at Shiao Inn (石澳客棧).

This journey deepened our appreciation for how traditional architecture can coexist with modern living. We learned that preservation is not merely about maintaining old structures but about honoring their stories while integrating them into contemporary contexts.

True design transcends the mere juxtaposition of expensive materials or the latest technologies. It is about creating spaces that resonate with the essence of their surroundings. A city's identity thrives on its originality, reflecting local design styles and cultural narratives.

In Nansha, we experienced a successful blend of the past and present, where the beauty of tradition harmonizes with innovation.
