In these two projects by the award-winning local studios Architecture Commons and Design Trust Futures Studio, we delve into the collaborative process of working with non-profit clients and government departments to innovate building forms for the public realm.
Architecture Commons’ HKFYG Stanley Outdoor Training Centre is nestled in the serene natural setting of St. Stephens Beach, while Design Trust Futures Studio’s Sitting-out Area under the Flyover on Hill Road is integrated within the dense urban fabric beneath a flyover. These projects cater primarily to youth and the elderly, respectively, highlighting the stark differences in their contexts.
Join this tour to experience the contrasting landscapes of our city, from the tranquility of nature to the vibrancy of urban life, and discover how architects creatively respond to these diverse environments.
