The President and CEO approached us to create the design concept of their new headquarters. The building had been unoccupied for a number of years, then gutted to create 17,000 square feet of office space on two floors, in addition to an expanded plant facility.
The design concept honored the company’s history while creating a bridge to the future. We identified the company’s core values and brand colors to integrate into the design. We collaborated closely with the CEO to ensure that each team member understood his/her integral role in the company’s success. This informed the material selection throughout that relates to the General Carbide’s industry and the use of organic colors to promote a sense of well-being. New windows were strategically placed and existing ones enlarged to allow natural light throughout the work spaces.
We designed architectural details and selected all finishes, lighting and furniture. Custom furniture was designed for the CEO’s office as well as the second floor reception area and conference room. Artwork was created to bring the company values to life and inspire. Tooling photos were turned into pop art for a fun added detail.
Everywhere team members and clients look, there is a deep connection to the core values of the company.
