Bold straightforward stairs lead to the second floor’s lounge, passing through the Master's bedroom and guest room that is provisioned to a nursery room. The attic level was designed to house a two-kid’s bedroom, a family area and a home gym.
SIMPLICITY AND COMFORTABILITY
The spaces in this home was made flexible and adaptable to the owner’s evolving lifestyle. Combination of clean lines and neutral colors of contemporary design demonstrates the ease and calmness of the house. Scattered vegetation and natural materials such as stone, concrete and wood are mainly specified by the Architect to keep the connection with nature in this tranquil location.
BUILDING GREEN
Building the house to be green and sustainable within the limited budget was one of the owner’s request. Passive cooling principles were applied in the planning stage to minimize the need for mechanical systems. Cross-ventilation and extensive natural lighting is achieved throughout with an abundance of well-placed windows and doors throughout the structure.
The usage of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete as the primary building material was introduced by the Architect and considered by the owner to build the structure and maximize benefits such as a) superior fire and sound resistance, b) excellent thermal insulation for energy saving, c) speed and ease workability which results to cost effectiveness and d) eco-friendly material which reduce at least 30% of environmental waste, decrease 50% of greenhouse radiation and over 60% integrated energy on the surface of brick.
This house was designed not just to be occupied by people but to be a home of comfort for a family that will grow in its every corner.
