This award winning landmark project with very tight construction schedule was completed on 18th July 2017, more than five (5) months ahead of time with the Qlassic score of 81% and within budgeted cost. On top of that 5.5 million Total Man Hour without Loss Time Injury has been achieved.
Extraordinary architecture featured three (3) elevated high rise office towers, seven (7) levels of podium and one level sub-basement. All the three (3) blocks were supported by a series of inclined freestanding 2.0 meter and 2.5 meter diameter mega columns ranging from 28 meter to 40 meter in height, without any intermediate bracing. These inclined freestanding mega columns were designed to support the transfer slab ranging from 1.2 meter to 1.8 meter thick at the height of 28 meter to 40 meter above ground level.
For each tower, the horizontal different from level 8 to rooftop was about 4.5 meter to 5.5 meter outward. This make the building structure inclined together with the unitized glass panel. Beside the inclination, the curvature facade curtain creates the glass panel to be distorted.
This paper highlighted the main challenges encountered and shared the many innovations created to overcome these challenges:-
Foundation Issues | Hard Rock Encounter
Inclined mega column
Unitized Curtain Wall on Twisted Facade
