Somerset House is designed for young family with 3 little daughters. With limited land area in Indonesia, so this house had to maximize its space with more storeys. Based on the age of the owners, we try to create something on the storeys with split level concept. With its stair on the center area that is connecting between front and back area, so we decided to put the stairs as the main point of this house. we made it as a main courtyard of this house. it gave a main natural light source and also air circulation for the whole house with large transparent skylight on it. It also gives an entertaining shadows that differs everyday.
