New Stronghold® System for F4 Compliance

The New Zealand Building Code now requires windows with a fall of one metre or more to resist imposed loads and have their openings restricted. Restricted openings will severely limit the amount of ventilation possible through most window types and may result in stuffy, uncomfortable rooms.

Altair Louvres with the Stronghold System have high strength acetal pins which mechanically fix the blades into the clips allowing the window to resist the imposed loads. With no fixed panes of glass and ventilation openings on both sides of each blade even when openings are restricted, Altair Louvres with the Stronghold System maximise natural ventilation while meeting the barrier requirements of the NZBC.
