As Kingspan’s insulated roof panels are a single component, the building process is simple. Installation is easy and fast over a large area and a Kingspan roof can be installed during a variety of weather conditions, which means a quick passed building close in.

Housing aquatic and gymnasium facilities, Architecture HDT developed the concept design and performance criteria prepared by Warren+Mahoney.
 
A variety of Kingspan products were specified for use on the facility: Kingspan’s Trapezoidal KS1000 RW panels on the roof along with Kingspan’s Roofliner which was used as a single ply membrane substrate on a section of roof with complex shapes and angles. Architectural Wall Panels (KS1000 AWP) with a ‘Mini-Micro’ profile feature on the exterior walls.
 
The addition of Kingspan’s Aquasafe liner over the ‘wet side’ of the complex was a big contributing factor that added extra confidence in the build, says Steve Hastie, project manager for Apollo Projects. Kingspan’s insulated panels are a product of choice for swimming pool environments for their ease of installation and ease of maintaining the pool’s vapour control.
 
Apollo’s long term relationship with Kingspan has been further strengthened during this project.  Steve comments “All went smoothly from procurement stage through to close in.  Kingspan offers a single source for manufacture and supply which simplifies the whole building process and gives us the necessary guarantees in a high humidity environment.”
