This project was the second of two new houses to be built alongside each other at Palm Beach, Sydney, and is almost wedged between a newly completed house to the right (west) side and a painted timber cottage style home to the left (east).
While the site is reasonably deep, with considerable landscaping to the rear and side, the house very much presents ‘front on’ to the streetscape.
The house was similar in design form to its newly completely neighbour. As such, the two would need to share a general language, but it was important that each house very much had its own character.
