Hei Yue Heen commissioned FAK3, an award winning interior design studio to create this destination dining space that offers a unique east meets west environment to enjoy excellent Cantonese fare.
A large mosaic in the main dining area depicts oversized peonies while stylised peonies also grace the tufted carpet underneath the space. Full height wine cabinets are decorated with Chinoiserie details and bespoke brass wall sconces are reiterated in brass window trimmings. The private dining rooms further reinforce the east meets west theme with gold and green silk wall coverings alongside black lacquer and nickel silver accents.
Customers access Hei Yue Heen via a staircase from the ground floor that leads to an entry dominated by a mosaic wall with a striking Hei bird and floral pattern. It is softly lit by a large chandelier with numerous mini cream coloured silk shades suspended above the staircase. The main dining area beyond features six meter high ceilings capped by an iconic octagonal dome. The inverse ziggurat shape of the dome conceals ambient lighting while showcasing a central fixture with 1,200 customised mouth blown glass spheres.
