Hillion is Singapore’s first mixed-use development in the West to integrate residential living with a retail mall, bus interchange, MRT and LRT stations. Designed with the functional rectilinear form, strong linear filaments wrapping the exterior of Hillion Mall creates a surface strategy that is readable and measurably reduces the building mass. The residential blocks comprise of 546 units in three 23-storey blocks. Drawing inspiration from the heritage of Bukit Panjang (Malay for Long Hill), the design for the residential development celebrates nature with lush greenery and open spaces with blocks strategically located apart to maximise views of landscape and greenery.
