Type
Acoustics, Audio-Visual And Lighting Design Consultancy
Appointed by Architecture Design and Research Group Limited (AD+RG), AEC provides acoustics and audio-visual designs for HKIC’s alteration and improvement work for its three campuses in Kwai Chung, Sheung Shui and Kowloon Bay. With the broad location coverage, our consultancy service mainly covers three industrial technical training buildings including classrooms, practice areas, and instructors' offices.
The acoustics highlights of the project include noise isolation between the lecture area and practice area, Reverberation Time (RT) control for classrooms, as well as noise control for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. Acoustic wall panels were also installed inside classrooms to provide sound absorption and ensure ideal room acoustics.
When it comes to audio-visual designs, we engaged in the design of various systems to ensure a high-quality AV experience for students and lecturers, including LED wall system, interactive display system, signage display system, video system, and audio system. On the Kowloon Bay Campus, for instance, two 1.2 x 3.9m interactive TV walls were installed as a visual aid for displaying construction technologies.
HKIC is a member organization of the Construction Industry Council (CIC) and provides professional training for practitioners of the construction industry. Since the establishment in 2018, HKIC is committed to programme revamping and campus enhancement.
