Zhongshan Park is dedicated to the first president of the People's Republic of China: Dr Sun Yat-Sen who is also known as the "Father" of Modern China. Situated between hotels that line both side of the park, the site planning established a connection o the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall across Ah Hood through a tapestry of lawn, water bodies and trees. Three heritage listed Banyan trees were also preserved and incorporated in the design.
