AIA National Conference in Washington DC
Last week, Johnny Fu AIA, the president of the Hong Kong chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), attended the AIA National Conference in Washington DC. As a delegate for the Hong Kong chapter, Johnny participated in the AIA Annual Meeting, casting votes on institute matters and helping to select the next national leaders.
During the conference, Illya Azaroff FAIA was elected to serve as the AIA President in 2026. This prestigious position leads the institute's efforts to advance the architectural profession.
Additionally, Christine Bruckner FAIA, the former president of the Hong Kong AIA chapter, delivered the opening remarks for the AIA International Design Awards presentation. Bruckner's insightful and captivating speech helped set the tone for an inspiring and engaging evening celebrating exceptional design from around the world.
