What we believe in We believe emotion is the ultimate measure of human life. To fulfill its relevance to the human experience and endure the test of time, architecture must transcend beyond reason. Architecture must have more sensibility, more expression, more emotion—more life. Influenced by the great Filipino modernists of the 20th century, we focus on form, space, and understated elegance to evoke emotion in architecture. Architecture is built on long-term visions and we are one with our clients in that direction. Who we are Blasco Architects is a contemporary architecture practice based in Iligan, Philippines. Since we started in 2015, we have already worked on a total of 70 projects for an average of one project every month. This is a testament to the trust our clients have on us and the professional service that we have always delivered. Paul Blasco leads the practice with 13 years of extensive experience. He has worked on over a hundred projects from condominiums, malls, office buildings, hotels, and high-end residences. As the principal architect, he actively directs and supervises all of the projects. His involvement throughout the different processes ensures that each project remains true to the client’s vision, objectives, and values. Prior to establishing his practice, Paul worked for the firm of Leandro V. Locsin Partners, an internationally acclaimed architecture firm in the Philippines. After Locsin, Paul joined the Singapore architecture firm, A+P GRP, for its Philippine office. His main work was the supervision of the 23-storey, 668-room Bai Hotel in Cebu and the design of a 2-tower 21-storey mixed-use building in Myanmar. Both these experiences have helped develop his architectural vocabulary but it is the experience in Locsin that has significantly molded his philosophy and shaped his approached to contemporary Philippine architecture. Paul completed his Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the University of the Philippines - Diliman. His final thesis project was awarded as one of the best theses and represented the college in Archiprix International, a competition of the world’s best graduation projects. Services We create artistic designs encompassing architecture, interiors, and landscaping. In resort and retail projects, we offer brand strategy to give an overarching vision to the project from the concrete structures to the smallest graphical details.
