About LSB Akitek
Story About US LSB Akitek was founded in year 1992 and inspired by a strong vision to build a better future, we have rapidly grown to be one of the leading architecture firms in Penang. LSB Akitek is headed by Principal Architect Ooi Kiem Wooi who has over 23 years of vast experience as a consulting and planning architect for various types of developments nationwide. Our projects span across the Asia Pacific region, namely China, India, Cambodia, Thailand and many more. We have been serving the industry for almost two decades and handling most of the development projects especially in the northern region. LSB strives to continually deliver inspired work and professional service on client’s objectives. OUR PRINCIPALS LIM SIEW BOK, Principal Architect Lim Siew Bok received his associateship in Architecture in Western Australian Institute of Technology in year 1973, he then began his international architecture career when he joined Brian J. Kidd, an architecture firm in Western Australia. In 1975 he moved back to Penang and joined The City Council of Penang Island as the Architect, supervising the Council’s building projects as well as scrutinizing on building or layout plans submitted by registered Architect. At the same time, he also worked as a part-time lecturer at School of Housing, Building and Planning, University Science of Malaysia, sharing his knowledge as an Architect. Mr. Lim later joined Architects Team 3, and he had been the Resident Architect & Deputy Project Manager for “KOMTAR” project, Penang. Some of his notable projects include the Royal Malaysian Air Force in Subang, City Garden Condominium, East Coast Relocation Project, “Aged Living In Valued Environment”, among others. Affiliations: – Corporate Member of Malaysian Institute of Architects (APAM) – Corporate Member of Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) – Corporate Australian Institute of Architects (ARAIA) OOI KIEM WOOI, Principal Architect Ooi Kiem Wooi received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Housing, Building & Planning (Architecture) from the University of Science Malaysia in 1990. With over two decades span of experience as consulting architect, Mr. Ooi is greatly knowledgeable of the quality of space planning and the aesthetic of architectural detailing, as well as the importance of structure, material and costing. These make him very particular in the TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT of all project undertaken. Mr. Ooi has worked on a number of notable projects in the northern region including St. Giles Wembley in Penang, Olive Tree Hotel, Sacred Heart School, College Heights Utara, among others.
