A project we’re currently working on is a residence with a swimming pool requirement, so while we were designing it, we did a visualization of 3 different times of the day (dawn, daytime and dusk) to better study and simulate our proposed lighting scheme. Having a study (and almost actual representation) of the positioning of lights makes it easier to make decisions both for us and our clients. It makes it easier to answer questions like: How many lights do we put? What kind of lighting do we use? what temperature?
in this view, floating steps lead up to the lanai designed to be a seamless room to the pool and the outdoor spaces. We wanted to blur the boundaries between interior and exterior by using tall wood slat doors on steel tubular frames that can be closed and locked if needed. This gives the users a sense of security while still allowing natural light and wind in. This will give the lanai an interesting play on shadows and cool indoor temperatures especially during the afternoons.
Expect to see more about this project soon!
