About Multiply Architects LLP
Multiply Architects LLP began its practice in April 2007, helmed by its founding partner, Ms Yap Mong Lin and assisted by partner, Mr Alvin Foo. The firm began with a core team of 5 taking on concurrently, large architectural projects comprising of a 200-room new extension to a Hotel in Sentosa , a 35-Storey high end residential development at Leonie Hill and Mahabodhi Monastery at Bukit Timah which was recently accorded finalist position in the World Architecture Festival 2015 for architectural built works. The firm grew to strength to strength yearly, taking on a gamut of varied local projects and also began expanding its interior design capabilities by taking on project ID for residential developments. In 2011, Multiply Architects embarked on notably larger commercial projects such as the reconstruction to Chinatown Point Mall and Major AA works to conservation development of CHIJMES in the heart of Singapore’s Civic District. Multiply Architects LLP was fortunate to have the patronage of a local leading developer Perennial Real Estate Holdings Pte Ltd. In 2013, Multiply Architects began to work in close collaboration with an overseas architectural design firm, Serie Architects and a successful partnership was born. The fruits of this collaborative effort came in the form of winning the several commissions of prestigious local projects through open architectural competitions namely the New State Courts Complex, new extension to the School of Design and Environment in National University of Singapore and the Oasis Terraces – HDB Punggol Neighbourhood Centre and Polyclinic (Winning Entry for World Architecture Festival 2015 – Future Project: Mixed Used Development and Housing Development Board Innovative Design Award 2015). Multiply Architects is the recipient of the Singapore Small Medium Enterprise Award of the Year 2015.
