Situated within the leafy enclave of District 10, and surrounded by neighbouring homes, the Client’s brief for his family residence was to envelope the site’s perimeter and internalise the views and recreational space through a central courtyard.
Inspired by the traditional tropical homes of the region, the design was articulated through a series of pavilions around a forecourt and central courtyard. The element of water in both pond and swimming pool alongside the pavilions, enabled the living spaces to open outwards through deep verandahs and embrace the mild evening climate.
