The Larkfield Leisure Centre was originally built between 1979 and 1981 and since then the Centre has been extended to meet popularity. A major refurbishment was required to update the facility which included re-cladding the 24m long span tubular steel truss roof. We were appointed by Whitesales Limited, who were engaged by Kier on behalf of Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council. to assist with the roof glazing replacement on the major refurbishment. We provided structural engineering advice including a review of sub-contractor calculations and drawings as part of the roof cladding package
The roof cladding was completed by the end of March 2020, and the swimming pool reopened soon after.
