A TALE OF TWO SCALES
This project is a new built detached dwelling. The plot is flanked by roads on 2 sides, and sewer lines that traverse within the plot, the end result was a compact single built form. The house has two storeys. a basement, an attic, and a swimming pool.
WIth the public areas on the 1st storey in a transparent skin which opened views to the surrounding pool and landscape. The upper storey' concrete and timber skin served as a buffer to the noise of the external. The inner shell provides a sancuary to the clien's family members, and it also serves as a heaven for ts feline member.
While the house was first and foremost designed for its human inhabitants, no expense wa spared to consider the cats; access and experience. Cat-walks, integrated cat doors & dedicated entrance were all worked nto the design. The house served as a sanctuary that catered to all.
