Tiny Kuubo is a project in response to the recent typhoon calamity in the Philippines.
The structure is designed on a modular scale. A module can contain a Bathroom and a Kitchen, a Living & Dining / Bedroom & Office, and a 3sqm module of semi outdoor deck equipped with retractable canopy and stairs that act as a protective, sun shading security louvers as it closes. The project is intended to be built using load bearing lightweight concrete for walls and roof slab to resist heavy wind loads, and earthquakes.
Moreover, the roof may serve as a space for edible vegetation, an roof escape for immediate rescue ground in case of high level floods, as well as another floor for future vertical expansion of the house.
