A Piece of California in Old Jakarta.
Taking inspiration from classic American architecture, Agam Riadi transplanted a corner of America into a residential project in the heart of Menteng, Central Jakarta.
A Neoclassical Beacon
This private abode in Kebumen street sits as an ode to the convergence of cultures.
Colours, shapes, and moods play a strong role in this project. In order to strike the right balance between the client’s art collection and his desire for North American architecture and interior design, Agam took the sunshine of California by implementing light colours throughout the residence, opting for light, bright and warm tones. Pieces of elaborate furniture by Baker, Ralf Lauren and Henredon stand toe-to-toe with various other styles of furnishings. Agam Riadi also planted his signature style by scattering hints of Asia by strategically placing Javanese motifs, blending seamlessly with the overall design of the abode.
