aKTa-rchitects  is a Singapore based design practice for the built environment established in 2001, incorporating a wide range of works previously carried out by Kevin Tan. Overseas works are carried out by sister practice  aCTa . With a particular focus on high quality solutions, we seek to fulfill our client’s needs through quality design, translating design concepts into spaces with impact and integrity and by incorporating and considering all relevant issues such as climate, culture, context, technology and sustainability. We are currently developing designs and leading consultancy teams for projects across Asia with clients ranging from private end-user individuals to commercial developers. As a relationship-driven business, we work hard to ensure that our client’s best interests are always the highest priority. We believe that creative and constructive dialogue is a key aspect of our working method. Project experience includes custom-designed houses, multi-unit residential developments, signature headquarter office buildings, commercial offices, retail, mixed-use developments, interiors and master planning. We are proud of the mixed-ethnicity of our office with staff from Europe and across Asia. We believe that it adds to the richness of our thinking and problem solving abilities, as well as giving us a broader understanding of issues when working on projects both within and outside Singapore. This approach has enabled us to design and deliver projects from the most luxurious houses in Singapore to commercial housing in India. Since 2001, we have completed designs for over 5 million square feet of development across Asia.   Awards, Competitions and Exhibitions In additional to several winning private competitions, we have been awarded several public awards such as the prestigious URA (Urban Redevelopment Authority) 2000 Architectural Heritage Award and BCA (Building and Construction Authority) Construction Excellence 2001 Award for our project,  The Glencaird Residences . SIA Design Award 2006 for 4 houses at Allamanda Grove. Kevin was also featured in the inaugural Singapore URA (Urban Redevelopment Authority) 20 under 40 Exhibition in 2003.
