The design of the church gives physical form to the idea of participating in a community of faith as an individual.
Through an array of tangent circles, the church creates pockets for liturgical functions that vary in spatial constraints and degrees of formality. The circles create a series of porous boundaries that define the limits of each space while revealing it as an integral part of its surroundings.
As part of a larger university master plan, the church offers a new center of the community that weaves together culture, ecology, and faith.
