bàlay Vandyke is the coming together of two prominent Cairns based building design studios,  bàlay building design & Chris Vandyke Designs. Matt Piromalli established bàlay Building Design Pty Ltd in 2004 and has spent the past 17 years building the business by offering creative & customised design solutions for a variety of residential & commercial projects in North Queensland & PNG. Chris Vandyke is one of our regions most recognised building designers. He established Chris Vandyke Designs Pty Ltd in the 1970’s and until now has been responsible for some of the most iconic tropical architecture accross the eastern seaboard of Australia and throughout the Pacific. The team strategically placed in the same building as their structural engineer has proven to be indispensable to the design process outcomes of 'constructability' & building to a budget. Our approach is to provide a very personal and tailored response to each and every project, through a collaboration of ideas between designer & client. With a commitment to excellence and taking pride in the work that we produce, bàlay Vandyke's focus is to provide our clients with good design, quality documentation and a memorable service at an affordable price.
