D.M. Consunji Inc. (DMCI) is one of the Philippines' leading engineering-based integrated construction companies. Since it was founded in 1954 by Engr. David Mendoza Consunji, the company has been redefining the country's landscape for over six decades, building national and international landmarks, bringing pride to Filipinos all over the world. The Company has been known up until today as the country's "Builder of Landmarks" and is known to pioneer the application of advanced engineering technology in Philippine construction. Through continuing research, DMCI introduces innovations in the way it does things, thereby accomplishing structures of technical integrity that is fully turned over on or ahead of the agreed completion schedule. Because of this, the Company enjoys the patronage of both new and repeated institutional clients. Since its incorporation, DMCI has demonstrated its capability to construct a wide variety of projects ranging from simple chapels and residences to multi-storey buildings such as hotels, offices and mixed-use developments, irrigation dams, roads to elevated highways, kilometer-long concrete bridges, railways, power plant and transmission lines, industrial plants, waste water treatment plants to complex facilities and commercial centers. Some of the Company's more widely known projects, which are now landmarks in their respective locations are the following: in Manila there are the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), and the Manila Hotel; in Makati — BPI Head Office, Petron Megaplaza, G4 Mixed Development Project, Pacific Plaza, Philippine Stock Exchange Building (Ayala), Oakwood, One Roxas Triangle, and the newest is Fairmont Hotel; in Mandaluyong, SM Megamall Buildings A&B; in Muntinlupa — 150 Maynilad Putatan Water Treatment Plant and the Asian Hospital & Medical Center; Mt. Samal Cross in Bataan, the Shangri-La Hotels (Makati, Mactan and Boaracay), International School Manila in Taguig; in Paranaque — NAIA 3 Terminal Building, NAIA Expressway, TPLEX, Solaire Resorts and Casino, and there is the Istana Palace in Brunei. To date, D.M. Consunji Inc. has completed close to a thousand projects, and continues to play a key role in the shaping of the country's cityscapes and development of both rural and urban areas.
