About Goy Architects
Goy Zhenru was educated as an Architect in Singapore at the National University of Singapore and in Switzerland at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH)Zürich. After working in both Switzerland and Singapore, she opened her own office in Singapore in 2015. As an architect, Goy has created learning facilities (public & private), farm-stay resort, residential, and, more recently, industrial building. As a designer, she has a keen interest in producing custom ranges of furniture and decorative objects which serve to complement the interior & architectural works. A supporter of vernacular architecture & craftsmanship, Goy Zhenru adapts traditional forms to reflect a spirit of modernity. Her passion for relating architecture to its roots and history is a common theme inherent throughout her work. In 2019, She was the finalist for Asia Architecture Emerging Architects by ARCASIA for her project Sukasantai farm stay. She presented her works in the Plenary Hall at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC) alongside other shortlisted candidates from Japan, Korea, China, Vietnam, and Thailand. With a decade of architecture experience working in both Bali and Singapore, Dessy Anggadewi has notable experience in various resorts projects such as Muthaafushi Resort, in Maldives while working for Forum Architects in Singapore. Having an eye for detail is her key strength in the team. She works closely with craftsmen in Bali to create unique and expressive objects used in interiors works. She was awarded the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education( LPDP) Scholarship to London, where she completed her masters studies in The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. Sam is leading our material research office in Chiangmai, Thailand. Her role includes sourcing for regional/local materials that are sensitively interpreted for modern-day design. She works closely with local artisans and manufacturers to create a unique material palette for our selected projects. Having a conscious design ethos- she is always looking out for sustainable local materials and construction details for each of our projects. She has more than a decade of working experience in Thailand and Singapore- in projects ranging from hospitality to mixed development buildings.
