SINGAPORE - Play an escape game at the National Gallery Singapore. Get into the offices of CapitaLand and Facebook for a sneak peek at their art collections. Or interrupt your stroll along Orchard Road to watch contemporary French artist Lionel Sabatte create three concrete sculptures in a shipping container in the popular shopping belt.
These are just three of the more than 100 events scheduled for Singapore Art Week (SAW). The 8th edition returns from Jan 11 to 19 with the return of signature events such as S.E.A. Focus, the Light To Night festival, ARTWALK Little India and Aliwal Urban Art Festival.

We offer lighting design services for various sizes and types of architecture and space such as:- public facility (civic, transportation, library, museum)- office and retail (office tower facade, shopping mall)- hospitality (hotel, resort)- residential (private residence, condominium)- landscape and exterior (park, bridge, monument)- lighting masterplan (city, town, street)- temporary project (event, exhibition)The following principles apply to every project, and we provide tailored solutions to unique opportunities and challenges of each project.Invisible light fixtureLight fixtures should not be seen. What is to be seen is the space and people. No glareWe are obsessed with the word 'glare-less'. We design space filled with soft lighting that is visually comfortable.Right amount of light at right locationWe believe in the value of not over-lighting. Light should be placed strategically and selectively to create a visual hierarchy.DynamicNatural light changes all the time. Lighting should never be static and fixed but dynamic and flexible.MaintainabilityWe do not design for completion day. We develop simple lighting solutions that can be maintained and enjoyed for many years. Our services are provided according to the phases described below:1. Concept designWe hear from the architect to understand the space, and we hear from the user to understand operational requirements. The surrounding lighting environment of the project location is studied. Based on the understanding and findings, we look for a simple and robust concept unique to each project. In this phase, we produce a concept design booklet including hand sketches, cg renderings, physical models and reference photos.2. DocumentationDrawings and specifications are developed to achieve the approved lighting concept. Details are coordinated with the architect and other consultants, and further refined by calculating illuminance level, studying maintenance method, and estimating cost. In this phase, a complete lighting design package including lighting layouts, mounting details, specifications, control system specification and operation schedule are delivered.3. Tender / procurement phaseWe recommend lighting suppliers who can be invited to tender for the project. We assist the quantity surveyor in preparation of materials for calling tender. We evaluate tender submissions on technical aspects as well as price. We arrange tender interviews for necessary clarifications. A tender recommendation report is provided for client's decision.4. Site supervisionWe conduct a briefing for the installer to understand the design intent and requirements. We check and approve lighting fixture samples and shop drawings, monitor the installation and issue site instructions. We plan lighting mock-ups to check lighting effect where necessary. Right before completion of the project, final lighting adjustment works such as focusing and setting of lighting control system are done.
