We combine tradition with a feel for trends: Our textile editor company was founded in Berlin back in 1900. Under the name “HARDT & KREBS”, the “Engroshaus für Möbelstoffe, Teppiche und Dekorationsstoffe” was founded. 1926 Herrmann Saum joined the company and took it over with his partner Erwin Viebahn only six years later. In 1945 the company headquarters moved to Kulmbach due to the war.
Today, Susanne Schicker-Westhoff and Andreas Klenk manage the company. Together with around 140 employees, they are committed to making textile dreams come true - most collections are even developed in the company's own studio. The results are high-quality products fitted for any interior design, whether residential or contract.
1983 was the founding year of coratex GmbH, the subsidiary of Saum & Viebahn, in Kulmbach. coratex offers extraordinary services for interior designers regarding marketing among other things. In 1995 the sofatex GmbH was founded as a powerful cooperation for upholsterers.
