This is facade renovation project of ANWA Sport Club, a late 90s sport club located in West Jakarta. The brief was to breath a new soul to the facade of the existing bbuilding. Escala Studio were tasked with renivating the building facade to be more inviting dan iconic within short period of time.
The design od the facade is a direct response to the landscape of the existing facades. Each facades smoothly integrates dan creating continous facades that eye catching, enclose and welcoming the visitors into the sport club. Additionally, the existing canopy was extended to create a comfortable and inviting entrance.
The materiality that applied on the facade inspired by the housing concept. Following the house concept, the facade is marked by simple lines and natural materials pallete. Vertical garden was added in order to reduce the impact of an urban enviroment and maximase the exposure to the sunlight and air circulation.
In order to enhance the appearance of the facade, we redesign the water fountain to follow the main concept of the housing project. Additionally, it also to reduce the noise pollution that originating from the surrounding, especially from the main street.
