The creators of Divine Flow Yoga, Eliza and Andrew came to us with a vision to create yoga studio that was beautiful, functional and nurturing.
The existing space was an old warehouse, dirty and deteriorating and certainly in need more than just a little TLC. The brief was to create a yoga studio that was a welcoming, warm and nurturing space. The clients wanted a clean, fresh look with the use of natural timbers and to be as sustainable as possible.
As well as the large open studio area for yoga practice, they also required bathrooms, showers, storage, admin office, kitchenette, lockers, a reception and gift display area.
The lighting was also very important, and the design was orientated as much as possible to the existing windows to harmonise as much light as possible. The lighting for night-time had to be soft and subtle.
