Located in Kota Baru Parahyangan, Padalarang., West Java, Indonesia. The house designed by Rakta Studio, the modern tropical style become the characteristic of this building. IL House is surrounded by nature and lake as the main point at the backyard view as the landscape of the house. The biggest challenge was to make this building as open to the lake as possible while maintaining the privacy of its inhabitants and have a design that maximized the home’s footprint on its tight infill lot. Simple and geometric building lines combined with solid materials elements applied, provide a warm and natural atmosphere in this residence. The designer teams always concern to provide a good sequence for our clients and also for the guests who come by the house, implemented between the public area and the private living area. So, a large volume of foyer entrance to give an overlooking the water by the pool and the lake were provided, while large walls of glass frames were oriented to frame views of the garden and the lake as well, visually blending the indoors and outdoors. The entire ground floor is considered living space, with rooms with large doors that allow nature to be experienced close-up in every direction. The living, dining, and pantry are grouped to form a central gathering space. The upper rooms are private area contained 3 bedrooms which have a direct view of the garden, the lake, and the swimming pool. The large opening with clear glass as a partition of the inner and outer space makes it seems to blend with the natural surroundings.
The house moves in an orderly way in two directions, towards the lake, and around the garden, while throughout the interior, ceiling heights and room volumes vary, becoming more spacious in the rooms opening up towards views. We value beauty, efficiency, logic, pure expression of materials, clean lines, forms that allow the space, light, materials, spatial relationships-and its inhabitants to develop well to the house.
