Nichinan Bunka Center was selected by DOCOMOMO Japan (Abbreviation for DOCOMOMO = Documentation and Conservation of buildings, sites and neighborhoods of the Modern Movement) as one of the 264 Best Modern Movement Buildings in Japan.

Nichinan Cultural Center's list includes Hiroshima Peace Center (Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Peace Memorial Park), Kagawa Prefectural Government Building (Kagawa Prefectural Government Building East Building), National Indoor Stadium (Yoyogi National Stadium), Tosho Printing Co., Ltd. Haramachi Factory (Tosho Printing Numazu Factory), St. Mary's Cathedral in Tokyo, Yamanashi Cultural Center, Imabari City Hall/Public Hall/Citizen Hall (Imabari City Hall Main Building/Public Hall/Citizen Hall), Kurayoshi City Hall (Kurayoshi City Hall Main Building) It will be the ninth work by Kenzo Tange.
